You’re welcome other voice in the Commander’s head. After another bout of interrogating, they ended up with nothing. They’ve talked to everyone but AJ. They asked for the employee’s address to give him a visit.
The police decided to go to AJ’s home the next day, since it was getting late.
Al woke up slightly the next morning, but he decided to just stay asleep a while later. He dreamed of home.
They knocked on the door and waited for an answer, which they never got. They called and even threatened with a warrant, but it was obvious the place was empty.
AJ still had that feeling in his stomach but he didn’t want to miss another day of work. He fixed something for Al to eat and left it in his room before slipping out the door.
Al nibbled on the meal around lunchtime, but he ignored most of it and laid there in bed. After a while he started trying to unchain himself, hoping he could find how AJ did it. There had to be a way.

AJ flopped on the couch, not feeling up to eating himself actually. That pit feeling came back
Back in town, the police interrogated people where Al and AJ worked, and they mentioned Al being missing and how AJ had been calling out from work more recently than before. Otherwise, things had been relatively normal. Neither of Al’s parents liked what they heard. The policeman with them asked who AJ was and if he and Al spoke to one another.
Most of the coworkers either didn’t really know AJ or they barely talked. They couldn’t say much, but they did mention AJ and Al spoke recently, but it wasn’t more than three minutes.
The police decided to do background checks on all the employees. Just to make sure.
They didn’t find anything useful, other than some misdemeanors that they had already did community service for. Maybe they needed one more talk around the office.
Thank you, voice in the Commander’s head. The police decided to go talk in the office and look around a bit more.

AJ had called in sick today, mostly because he was feeling weird. A pit in the stomach sort of deal. His backup plan was the only relief that he got from the feeling. He opened Al’s door. “Are you hungry?”
Al looked up from his spot on the bed before looking down again, shaking his head. “No,” he lied. He pulled on his collar again, sighing through his nose.
“You’re eating something.” He mumbled as he left, going to the kitchen to make some sort of meal. He’ll have to go to the store pretty soon.
He grunted, making a face when AJ left to go make something. Al laid there a while longer, wondering what he could do to get free. Obviously flailing and pulling at the collar while screaming wasn’t doing anything.
It didn’t take him long to put something decent together. He walked back to the room and sat the plate next to Al before turning to leave.
Al stared at the plate a while before moving to put it on the table. He laid back down on the bed and turned over, curling up slightly and frowning at the window.

The video tap shows that night’s bartender serving the the wanted teen. He sipped his drink and stood before falling over. Someone, it was too dark to see, not to mention that someone’s back was toward the camera, picked up Al and walked right out the door.
Al’s mother almost screamed, though a choked sob came out instead. His father consoled her, yelling that the police had better find that fucker who took him or else there’d be hell to pay.
The detectives gave the couple their promise that whoever stole their son will be brought to justice. They took the bar owner to the side and started hammering him with questions about the assailant. The only thing they got out of him was that Al and the kidnapper were that they were wearing the same uniforms.
That meant the two were co-workers. Al’s father told the cops where Al worked while his mother kept sobbing.
Back at the house, Al had resorted to laying there, occasionally pulling on his collar weakly.

The police took the tip and decided to visit the bar. They figure out that a few who weren’t completely smashed made out Al from a photo and told them he left with some guy.
The sober bar owner came out and looked them over, raising an eyebrow before offering them access to their security footage. It was the least he could do. He didn’t think the kid he was paid to drunk would be missing for so long. Usually they’re one nighters. He was wrong, but he’d never admit his wrongdoing to the cops. (Source: theotherkingofspades)

Too bad for Al that he was in the middle of nowhere. The only car that as even went near there was AJ’s.
Whelp, the questioning went pretty smoothly. Good cop bad cop was pretty interesting. It even made him laugh a little when he left out the business. He hopped into his car and drove back to Al, only a few hours early.
Al didn’t care, yelling at the top of his lungs until his throat was killing him. He sat back against the headboard and massaged his neck upon realizing that screaming anymore would hurt it further.
He desperately pulled at the collar again, yelling out in frustration as he kept pulling until he tired himself out again. He just sat there quietly after most of it had gotten out of his system. He stared at his feet, frowning.
AJ came in and laid on the couch for a few minutes. He made little noise as he did so, but he’s sure Al had heard him.
He said nothing, falling asleep early and without dinner. He’d lost his appetite anyway.
He checked on the brunet before closing the door back and went about getting ready for bed.
Al awoke early the next morning, frowning before tugging on his collar weakly. You’d think after a few days he’d get the hint that nothing would change. Not unless he was found.
Meanwhile, back home, his folks were wondering where the heck Al could have went. Then his father realized Al may have gone to the bar and suggested this to the police.
